Founding Program Director, Shannon Psychiatry Residency, San Angelo, TX. 2026 - present.
Co-Course Director, "Pop Culture and Psychiatry" - fourth-year medical student elective, UT Southwestern. Jan - Feb 2026. Developed the curriculum; weekly full-day workshops and lectures on visual inquiry and cultural analysis. Average class size 15.
Co-Course Director, medical humanities seminar series, Duke Trent Center. 2022 - 2024. Created and led monthly seminars and workshops in reflective writing, narrative medicine, and visual inquiry for a selected group of second-year medical students. Average class size 15.
Course Director, "Introduction to the Medical Humanities," UTMB Institute for the Medical Humanities. Summers 2016 & 2018. Built the curriculum; delivered five 3-hour lectures and facilitated small-group discussion.

Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Supervisor, UT Southwestern. 2025 - present. Weekly individual supervision of residents on psychodynamic cases, with ongoing feedback on their work with patients.
Teaching Attending, Inpatient Psychiatry, UT Southwestern / Clements University Hospital. 2024 - 2025. Supervised and taught resident physicians and medical students on a 5-7 patient team. Lectured on clinical documentation, medical humanities in patient care, and managing countertransference.

Teaching Assistant, Practice of Medicine 1 & 2, UTMB School of Medicine. 2017 - 2019. Facilitated small-group discussion of readings and media in medical humanities and ethics; graded weekly reflective writing and gave written feedback. Average class size 15.

Research Mentor, Virtual Summer Research Program, American Physician Scientists Association. Summers 2020 & 2021. Mentored undergraduate medical-humanities research projects (1-2 students per year, 8-10 weeks); all mentees presented posters at regional APSA meetings.

Clinician Educator Track, Duke University Psychiatry Residency. 2020 - 2024. Four-year workshop series on teaching methods in higher education - critical reflection, lesson planning, cognitive processes, learning outcomes - with supervised practice teaching junior residents and structured faculty feedback.
